How the Crime-Trails work

A crime trail is about solving a criminal case – for example murder, burglary, kidnapping etc. If you want to participate, you buy the crime trail of the respective city and then receive the “crime file” of the case and an arrest warrant code by e-mail. In the crime file you will find the description of the crime case, the mission, the suspects (including a situation plan with their places of residence, work and leisure) as well as an overview of the evidence found at the crime scene.

First you go to the crime scene in the crime file. Then you visit the places where the potential perpetrators live, work and spend their leisure time. You will be in contact with the investigation office via SMS and will receive further information. As in a real investigation, you decide which places to visit first. It is strongly recommended to visit all places. Otherwise you might miss important leads.

Did you find out which person committed the crime? Then the perpetrator can be convicted using the warrant code on our website.

This is what you need to complete a crime trail

  • A cell phone with an Internet connection. You’ll also need to send SMS messages on the go to get more leads.
  • The crime file of the corresponding trail. Along with the order confirmation you will receive a download link where you can download the crime file of your case.
  • The warrant code that you will receive with your order confirmation by email. This will enable you to convict the perpetrator at the end.

Participation fees

Participation on a crime trail costs EUR 25 per group or per arrest warrant code. If there are more than five participants, additional arrest warrant codes must be purchased. For large groups, the crime trail can also be played against each other in smaller groups.

No advanced registration necessary
Crime trails can be completed at any time and without prior registration. All you have to do is buy the crime trail, visit the crime scene mentioned in the crime file and off you go.
